The Balwin Marathon: An Electric Test of Endurance and Community Spirit!

The Balwin Marathon took place on 2 April 2023 in Ballito, Kwa-Zulu Natal, and was a successful and exciting event brought to you by Balwin Sport and Dolphin Striders Running club.

A popular official qualifying race for the Comrades Marathon, the Balwin Marathon started and finished at the amphitheater on the iconic Durban Promenade. Participants from across South Africa challenged themselves and enjoyed the breathtaking scenery while taking on the 42km, 21km, and 10km race events.

In addition to endurance race experience and a well-earned sense of accomplishment, winners of the men’s and women’s race categories received prize money. Congratulations to all the participants and winners, and we are looking forward to next year’s event!
